IICE is taking efforts to create awareness on the various funding opportunities available for the research community of IISER Bhopal. To foster this, IICE has been arranging workshops on a month on month basis. Highlights of the workshops are given below:
We wish to inform the Alumni about the “CALL for Proposals” announced by BIRAC under the Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) which is available to scientist-entrepreneurs from research institutes, academia, and startups.
The scheme is designed to stimulate commercialization of research discoveries by providing very early stage grants to help bridge the gap between discovery and invention. To foster more participation the Innovation and Incubation Centre for Entrepreneurship (IICE) at IISERB has arranged for few workshops.
How to Apply
Only Online submission of proposal is allowed under the BIG scheme.
Register on BIRAC website under “BIG User” for submission of the proposal.
User registrations are open round the clock. Prior recipient of BIG grant is ineligible.

It was our pleasure to have Prof. Udayan Chandra, In-charge, DBT-BIRAC Biotechnology Business Incubation Facility (BBIF) visit our campus and conduct an interactive session to sensitize researchers, innovators and prospective entrepreneurs in the biotechnology, healthcare sectors about the ideation to early stage research funding and support options available at IIT-Delhi. The focus area was on the
BIRAC Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) scheme and Pfizer-IIT Delhi Innovation and IP Program.

It was our pleasure to have Dr. Pratibha Boga-Kamat, Senior Programme Manager, Entrepreneurship, C-CAMP, Bangalore visit our campus to deliver a talk titled ‘C-CAMP’s efforts in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship’. It was an interactive session attended by faculty, students and research scholars.
